LA NOTTE EUROPEA DELLA RICERCA 2020 A VIRGO
Nonostante la pandemia COVID-19, EGO e la collaborazione Virgo sono ancora entusiasti di portare al pubblico il meraviglioso mondo delle onde gravitazionali.
Ecco perché, anche quest’anno, in occasione della Notte Europea della Ricerca il 27 novembre 2020, EGO e Virgo non vi mancheranno e apriranno le porte ai visitatori ma questa volta sarà per una visita live online! Ci mancherà solo il gelato criogenico!
Programma della giornata del 27 novembre 2020:
· 11:00 am: visita virtuale in italiano (info e registrazione qui)
· 2.30 pm: visita virtuale in inglese (info e registrazione qui)
· 4:00 pm: Le onde gravitazionali, i fenomeni cosmici più violenti, ma anche la Luna ei pianeti più vicini a noi, saranno protagonisti de “Il Suono dell’Universo” evento online (con la traduzione simultanea in italiano) con racconti, interventi e brevi video di scienziati e artisti di livello internazionale. EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS’ NIGHT 2020 AT VIRGO
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, EGO and the Virgo collaboration are still enthusiastic about bringing the wonderful world of gravitational waves to the public.
That’s why, once again this year, on the occasion of the European Researchers’ Night on November 27th 2020, EGO and Virgo will not fail you and will open their doors to visitors but this time it will be for an online live visit! You will just miss the cryogenic ice cream!
Programme of the day November 27th, 2020:
· 11:00 am: remote live visit in Italian (info and registration here)
· 2.30 pm: remote live visit in English (info and registration here)
· 4:00 pm: Online event. Gravitational waves, the most violent of all cosmic phenomena, but also the Moon and the nearest planets, will be the protagonists of “The Sound of the Universe” (streamed both in italian and english) These topics will be explored through stories, speeches and short videos by scientists and artists of international level. All the European Researchers’ Night events of EGO will be in the context of the project Bright Night 2020 and will be live on the EGO and Virgo Facebook
